Wilfried Franzen and Thomas Grötz
have been developing experimental pop music since 1981.
Music that oscillates between song structures, noisiness and psychedelic trance.
The instrumental foundation of their compositions is bass and keyboard, which the duo expands
in their productions with guitars, violin, piano, electronic percussion, samples and more.

Sie bewegen sich irgendwo zwischen Punk und Pop. Waren mal Singer-Songwriter. Demcker nehmen sich nicht so ernst und verweigern sich jedweder Perfektion. Sie erzählen viel, wenn der Tag lang ist. Und jeder Tag ist lang.

Outstanding, original & filled with refreshingly reckless, seemingly thoughtless creative outpourings bursting with lots of positive energy; or - in other words: really good stuff! The Fire Penguins' are a vibrant and silly band hailing from Mexico, blending the raw energy of rock, the soul of indie, and the edge of grunge. In an age of marketing, when the product is a freeloader and the campaign the main product, this comes across as rather refreshing.
